(Buoy)
Buoy is the solo project of Tokyo-based singer-songwriter Misa Yoneyama, whose
intimate songwriting and understated acoustic sound have established her as a
distinctive voice in Japan’s independent music scene. She began performing
around 2018, accompanying herself on gut-string guitar and developing a musical
style rooted in simplicity, warmth, and close observation of everyday life. In
2020, Buoy released her first album, Sando Miru, followed in 2022 by Akarui
