Ásbjörn Kristinsson Morthens, known professionally as Bubbi Morthens, was born
on June 6, 1956, in Reykjavík, Iceland. He is a singer and songwriter who has
been active in the Icelandic music scene since the 1980s. His first album,
Ísbjarnarblús, was released in 1980. Morthens gained attention with subsequent
albums such as Plágan (1981) and Fingraför (1983). Throughout the 1980s and
