Bryan Lee, born Bryan Leroy Kumbalek on March 16, 1943, in Two Rivers,
Wisconsin, was an American blues guitarist and singer who lost his eyesight by
age eight. He developed a passion for early rock and blues through late-night
radio sessions. By his late teens, Lee played rhythm guitar with The Glaciers,
covering material by Elvis Presley and Little Richard. In 1979, he released his
debut album Beauty Isn't Always Visual. Lee moved to New Orleans in January
1982, performing regularly at the Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street. He
