It's no exaggeration to say that Brass Construction changed the face of dance
music with their blazing horns and incessant rhythms which came to define the
funk genre with their 1975 smash hit Movin'. They were the brainchild of
Guyana-born singer/keyboard player Randy Muller, who moved to New York as a
child and came up with the idea of a modern band built around brass with his
schoolfriends Wade Williamson (bass) and Larry Payton (drums). Roping in other
