Boubacar Traoré
Boubarcar Traoré is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Mali in Africa who
became famous in his homeland performing a blend of traditional West African
music and American blues with Arabian influences. He suffered during political
upheaval in Mali and re-emerged in France when a radio performance led to a
recording contract. His debut album 'Mariama' came out in 1990 and he went on to
international acclaim and performed across Africa, Europe and North America.
