Boogaloo Joe Jones
Ivan Joseph Jones, aka Boogaloo Joe Jones, is a jazz, soul and funk guitarist
who began his career in the late 1960s on the Prestige Records label, where he
gained his Boogaloo nickname. His brand of blues-jazz guitar was also influenced
by the growing funk movement of the '70s, but prior to this he was noted as a
popular sideman in the soul jazz groove.
