Bonde do Forró, founded in São Paulo in 2003 by singer, producer, and
entrepreneur DJ Maluco, is a Brazilian electronic forró band known for its
unique blend of forró rhythms with sertanejo influences. The group's initial
formation included vocalists Lauro (dubbed "Bruno do Forró" for his resemblance
to Bruno of Bruno & Marrone), Miguelzinho ("Zezé do Forró" for his similarity to
Zezé Di Camargo), Anne Liss, and Emerson Leone. Their debut album, A Locomotiva
Quente do Sucesso! (2003), did not achieve significant commercial success.
