Italian singer Roberto Satti, known professionally as Bobby Solo, was born on
March 18, 1945, in Rome, Italy. Specializing in rock 'n' roll and schlager music
and influenced by Elvis Presley, Satti began his musical journey after moving to
Milan with his family, where he met Franz Di Cioccio. Together, they formed a
rock 'n' roll duo. In 1963, Bobby Solo signed his first record deal with Dischi
Ricordi and released his initial singles under the pseudonym Bobby Solo. His
breakthrough came in 1964 at the Sanremo Festival, where he performed "Una
lacrima sul viso" with Frankie Laine...
