Bobby Moore and The Rhythm Aces were an American soul group from Montgomery,
Alabama. The band was led by Robert "Bobby" Moore, a tenor saxophonist and
bandleader born on July 17, 1930, in New Orleans, Louisiana. While stationed at
Fort Benning in Georgia during his time in the US Army, Moore formed the initial
lineup of The Rhythm Aces with members of the Fort Benning marching band. They
toured the South playing military events and clubs for a few years before
relocating to Montgomery after Moore's demobilization in 1961. In late 1965,
