Bob Barnard

Robert Graeme Barnard (1933–2022) was an Australian jazz trumpet and cornet player born in Melbourne. Influenced by Muggsy Spanier and Louis Armstrong, Barnard began his career in 1947 in his family's dance band before joining Len Barnard's Famous Jazz Band in 1948. He made his first recording in 1949 and released “How Long Blues” under his own name in 1952. Barnard toured with Graeme Bell’s band and collaborated with musicians including Ruby Braff, Peanuts Hucko, and Milt Hinton.
