Geir Jenssen, born 30 May 1962 in Tromsø, Norway, is a Norwegian electronic
musician and producer best known for his ambient work under the moniker
Biosphere. After acquiring his first synthesizer in 1983, Jenssen released the
cassette‑only E‑Man in 1984 and later joined the synth trio Bel Canto,
contributing to White‑Out Conditions and Birds of Passage before departing in
1990 to pursue a solo career. His debut as Biosphere came with the single "The
Fairy Tale" and the album Microgravity, issued by Origo Sound in 1991 and later
