Billie Jo Spears, born Billie Jean Moore on 14 January 1937 in Beaumont, Texas,
was an American country music singer. She began her musical journey at age 13
with her first recording on the Abbott label. In 1968, after moving to Nashville
and changing her professional name to Billie Jo Spears, she secured a deal with
Capitol Records. Her breakthrough came with "Mr. Walker, It's All Over" in 1969,
