Beyond Surface, a German metal band from Mainz, was formed in 2001 and consisted
of Gerrit Wolf, Thorsten Glatte, Marten Müller, Christian Löffel, Max Hartmann,
and Sascha Baldes. The group gained significant attention after winning the
Young Metal Gods music competition organized by Metal Hammer magazine in 2003.
This victory led to their debut album Destination’s End, produced by Piet Sielck
and released in 2004 via Noise Records.
