Berlin, an American synth-pop band, was formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The
group's origins trace back to a rock band called the Toys, which included John
Crawford on bass guitar and Dan Van Patten on drums. After several lineup
changes, Terri Nunn joined as lead vocalist in 1979, marking a pivotal moment
for the band. Their first single, "A Matter of Time", was released that same
year. Berlin's breakthrough came with the release of their EP Pleasure Victim in
