Benefits are a post-punk band hailing from Teesside in the northeast of England.
Known for their gritty, confrontational sound and fiercely DIY ethos, the
group—comprising spoken word vocals from Kingsley Hall and synth from Robbie
Major—formed in the late 2010s and made a name for their raw energy and
spoken-word vocals that tackle themes of social unrest, alienation, and
working-class frustration. They were signed to Geoff Barrow's famous Invada
