Ben Sollee
Ben Sollee is an American cellist, singer-songwriter, and composer. He began
playing the cello in the fourth grade and later attended the University of
Louisville's School of Music on a full-tuition scholarship to study cello. While
in college, Sollee performed with classical ensembles and participated in
recording sessions with artists like Otis Taylor and Abigail Washburn. In 2006,
he released his first self-produced album Turn on the Moon and joined Abigail
Washburn's The Sparrow Quartet, touring extensively and performing in China and
