Bell Marques, born Washington Bell Marques da Silva on September 5, 1952, in Salvador, Brazil, is a celebrated singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, best known as the frontman of the legendary axé band Chiclete com Banana. He began his musical journey in 1979, performing on his brothers' trio Os Elétrons, which became a staple of the Carnival scene in Brazil. In 1980, he officially joined the band Scorpius, which later became Chiclete com Banana in 1981.
