Bebe Buell
Beverle Lorence Buell, known as Bebe Buell, was born on July 14, 1953, in
Portsmouth, Virginia. She began her career as a model after being discovered by
Eileen Ford at age 17 and moved to New York City. In 1981, Buell released her
first musical work, a four-song EP produced by Rick Derringer and Ric Ocasek
with the Cars serving as her band on two tracks. She formed The B-Sides in 1980
and The Gargoyles in 1985. Buell released her album Retrosexual in 1994. In
2000, she released Free To Rock, produced by Don Fleming with the Bebe Buell
