Beau Williams, born January 6, 1950 in Texas, was an American gospel singer. Raised in Houston as the son of a Baptist preacher and choir director, Beau Williams began his musical journey as a teenager with a regional hit record under the name Bobo Mr Soul. His breakthrough moment came in 1984 when he appeared on Star Search, defeating the 13-week-long champion Sam Harris.
