Barry Phillips
Barry Phillips is an American cellist, arranger, and producer whose career spans
Celtic, world, and American folk music. He earned a Master of Music degree in
composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1990, after which he
released his debut album Simple Gifts that same year. Subsequent releases on the
Gourd Music label included Wondrous Love (1992) and Tree of Life (1993). In
1999, he played cello on Camel’s album Rajaz and began a long association with
