Born in St. Andrew in 1946 (or 1947), Barry Biggs is a Jamaican reggae singer
known for his romantic pop style. He began his career as a sound engineer and
cameraman for the Jamaican Broadcasting Company before devoting himself to
music. He worked as a backing vocalist at Duke Reid's Treasure Isle studio and
took part in the bands The Crystalites and The Astronauts, before becoming lead
singer of Byron Lee's Dragonaires. While working at Dynamic Studios, he scored
his first hit in 1971 with a cover of "One Bad Apple" (Osmonds), followed by
