Azalia Snail is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in
Philadelphia. She began her musical training at age six with piano lessons and
later transitioned to playing the guitar. In 1987, she moved to New York City
and began recording solo music, achieving early recognition through regular
airplay on WFMU's "Lo-Fi" radio show. During the 1990s, she wrote and recorded
eight solo albums and toured with bands including Low and the Grifters. Snail
