Israeli mandolinist and composer Avi Avital rose to fame with his unique take on
music from the Baroque genre as well as modern folk. He is known for taking
music written for other instruments and adapting them for the mandolin. Avital
began playing music at a very young age, performing in a local orchestra when he
was just eight years old. His studies took him to Italy where he focused his
time looking at music written for the mandolin.
