Based in London, the classical/electronic crossover duo consists of violinist
Anna Phoebe and pianist Aisling Bouwer. A violinist and composer with German and
Irish roots, Anna Phoebe has co-hosted BBC Radio 4's Add to Playlist, while
Aisling Bouwer, of Dutch and Irish descent, is a composer who has scored films
and documentaries, including White Riot and Lioness. The band first named Ava
between 2017 and 2020, then Avawaves, produced the albums Waves (2019),
