Audius Tonderai Mtawarira, born in 1977 in Chimbumu, Guruve District, Zimbabwe,
is a singer-songwriter and record producer known mononymously as Audius. He
moved to Australia in 1996 to study at Edith Cowan University and later Curtin
University. Mtawarira began his music career in 2002, producing Selwyn's album
Meant to Be, which peaked at number 9 on the ARIA Album charts and was certified
Gold. He gained significant recognition for co-writing and producing Delta
Goodrem's "Born to Try", which reached Number 1 on the Australian Singles chart
