Attila İlhan

Attilâ İlhan, born June 15, 1925, in Menemen, Turkey, was a Turkish poet,
novelist, essayist, journalist, and screenwriter. After interruptions in his
secondary education caused by his arrest for sending a poem to a girl, he
attended Istanbul University's law school, though he left before graduating. His
literary debut was the poetry collection Duvar in 1948, and he later issued
poetry audio albums including Ben Sana Mecburum and An Gelir. He earned second
place in the 1946 CHP Poetry Competition and won the 1974 Turkish Language
