Askehoug
Matthieu Aschehoug, known professionally as Askehoug, born in 1971 in Brittany,
France, is a French singer-songwriter of Norwegian descent on his father's side.
He initially pursued studies in Arts déco before becoming a musician, notably
playing bass for Louis Chedid and Stupeflip. At the age of 35, he transitioned
to a solo career as a singer-songwriter, adopting the stage name Askehoug. His
breakthrough came when Mademoiselle K invited him to open for her at La Cigale.
He released his self-produced debut album Smart & Piggy (2008). Subsequent
albums include Je te tuerai un jeu...
