Asas Livres is a Brazilian arrocha band associated with Bahia and the early
development of the genre. The group emerged in 1996, with Lauro Brasil as its
first lead vocalist and Jailton Barbosa as vocalist and keyboardist; Pablo,
later one of the best-known names in arrocha, also sang with the band during an
early phase of his career. Asas Livres built its reputation around romantic
seresta, brega and arrocha songs, releasing Voando até você and Voando até você
Vol. II in 2003. The live album Ao Vivo em Uruçuca, SE from the same period
included “Chupa Toda / Lambamor / Baba Baby ...
