As Frenéticas (The Frenetics) was a Brazilian six-piece girl group formed in Rio
de Janeiro in 1977 during the height of the nightclub boom. The group originated
at the Frenetic Dancing Days Discotheque, opened by composer and producer Nelson
Motta, where its members initially worked as singer-waitresses. Sandra Pêra,
Regina Chaves, Leiloca, Lidoka, Dhu Moraes, and Edyr Duque soon began performing
