Arvin Garrison
Arvin "Arv" Garrison, born on August 17, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio, was an American
bebop jazz guitarist. He began his musical career with a trio in 1941, which
later became known as the Vivien Garry Trio after his wife, bassist Vivien
Garry. The trio operated until 1948. Garrison's breakthrough moment came in 1946
when he participated in the Dial Sessions with Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie
Parker. He played guitar on notable tracks such as "Diggin' Diz" and "Yardbird
