Arthur Rimbaud

Arthur Rimbaud was a French Symbolist poet who lived from 1854 to 1891. Born in Charleville, France, he began writing poetry at age fifteen, publishing his first printed poem, “Les Étrennes des orphelins”, in 1870. Between 1870 and 1875, he produced the entirety of his literary output, including famous poems such as “Le Bateau ivre” and “Voyelles”. In 1873, he published his prose poetry collection, Une saison en enfer, followed by his prose anthology, Les Illuminations, published in 1886.
