Árbol, an Argentine alternative rock group from Haedo in Greater Buenos Aires,
was formed in late 1994. The initial lineup included Matías "Chávez" Méndez on
drums, Eduardo Schmidt on violin and vocals, Hernán Bruckner on guitar, and
Patricio Pizarro on bass. Influenced by bands like Faith No More and Mano Negra,
Árbol began performing in the underground scene. Árbol's debut album, Jardín
frenético, was released in 1996 after recording sessions at El Matadero Records.
