Apoptygma Berzerk, a Norwegian electronic rock band, were founded in 1989 in
Sarpsborg by Stephan Groth and Jon Erik Martinsen. Initially a duo, Apoptygma
Berzerk became a solo project after Jon Erik Martinsen's departure shortly after
the band's formation. The group released their debut EP Victims Of Mutilation in
1990, marking their first significant release. Their early works, including The
2nd Manifesto (EP, 1992) and Soli Deo Gloria (album, 1993), established a unique
