Aphrodite
Gavin King, known professionally as Aphrodite, was born on 28 November 1968 in
Aberystwyth, Wales, and later relocated to London with his family. After
studying computer science, he entered the electronic music scene as a DJ and
producer, initially performing under the monikers A Zone and DJ Aphrodite. His
early career included membership in the breakbeat hardcore group Urban
Shakedown, which achieved a UK Top 40 hit with "Some Justice". Aphrodite
