British street punk band, Anti-Nowhere League, was formed in 1979 in Royal
Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The original lineup included lead singer Nick "Animal"
Culmer, guitarist Chris "Magoo" Exall, drummer Tony "Bones" Shaw, and bassist
Chris Elvey. Their first performance took place at the 1980 Chaos Show at St
Mark's Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells. In November 1981, they released their debut
single, a cover of Ralph McTell’s "Streets of London", which peaked at number 48
in the UK Singles Chart and featured the profanity-laden B-side "So What". The
