Annette Funicello
Annette Joanne Funicello, born on 22 October 1942 in Utica, New York, was an
American actor and singer who recorded as Annette Funicello. She launched her
professional career at just 12 years old, rising to become one of the most
popular Mouseketeers on the original Mickey Mouse Club. Walt Disney himself
spotted her talent when she performed as the Swan Queen in Swan Lake at a dance
recital. She inked a seven-year contract with Disney and quickly became a fan
favourite, receiving thousands of letters monthly. Her popularity led to roles
in several serials on The Mickey Mouse Club...
