Angeline Morrison
Angeline Morrison, born to a Jamaican mother and a Scottish father from the
Outer Hebrides, is a British multi-instrumentalist singer and academic who
entered the music scene at age 17 after attending a folk club. She released the
album Are You Ready Cat? in 2013 and followed with her 2022 albums, The Brown
Girl and Other Folk Songs and The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British
Experience, which was produced by Eliza Carthy and featured the song “Unknown
