Ángela Álvarez, born June 13, 1927, in Camagüey, Cuba, died December 6, 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was a Cuban-American singer. She began learning guitar at a Catholic school and later studied piano and voice, though her father and grandfather discouraged a professional music career.
