Andrius Mamontovas, born 23 August 1967 in Vilnius, is a Lithuanian rock
musician, songwriter, and actor. In 1983, he co-founded the rock band Foje,
which released 14 albums and established a reputation as one of Lithuania's most
prominent acts. The group disbanded in 1997 following a farewell concert in
Vilnius attended by 60,000 people, an all-time attendance record for the
country. Mamontovas launched a solo career with the 1995 album Pabėgimas,
