Andrew Staples

Andrew Staples, born 19 August 1979 in London, is an English operatic tenor. He began his musical training as a chorister at St Paul's Cathedral before attending Eton College on a music scholarship. Staples has established an international career in opera, appearing with The Royal Opera and at leading opera houses in Salzburg, Hamburg, Brussels, and Prague. His repertoire includes Tamino in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Narraboth in Richard Strauss' Salome, and Artabenes in Thomas Arne's Artaxerxes.
