Andreas Gabalier is an Austrian folk singer who specializes in the schlager form
of traditional music and has earned multi-platinum sales throughout Europe. Born
in Friesach, Austria, on November 21, 1984, he made his debut with 2009's Da
komm ich her, which peaked at Number 4 on the Austrian charts, then climbed to
Number 1 with 2010's Herzwerk and 2011's Volks-Rock'n'Roller. His song "Go For
Gold" became his first Number 1 single in 2012, while its accompanying album,
Home Sweet Home, charted at Number 4 in Germany and Number 2 in Switzerland. A
