André Hübner-Ochodlo, known professionally as André Ochodlo, was born in 1963 in
Plauen, Germany. He is a singer, actor, and theater director who has made
significant contributions to world music, particularly in the realm of Yiddish
songs. Ochodlo's early training included studying Applied Theater Science at the
University of Giessen, taking acting courses at the Theater Academy Leipzig, and
studying at the Musical Theater in Gdynia. In 1989, he founded the Teatr Atelier
in Sopot, Poland, where he served as director. His breakthrough came with the
