anaiis, born on 23 July 1991 in Toulouse, France, is a French‑Senegalese singer
and songwriter who grew up traveling between Dublin, Dakar, Oakland, New York,
and London, where she settled and studied at the Tisch School of the Arts, New
York University. Her first release came in 2018 with the EP before zero,
followed by the single "no control" the same year, marking her entry into the
soul/R&B scene. In 2019, she issued the album darkness at play, produced by
