Dubbed "La Reina Grupera" in her native Mexico, singer and actress Ana Bárbara
rose to unimaginable heights of popularity during the early 1990s with her
infectious blend of regional music and Latin pop. Born Altagracia Ugalde Mota on
January 10, 1971, in the city of Río Verde, she began singing at a very young
age and won several talent competitions and beauty pageants around San Luis
