Amorphis
Amorphis is a happy melodic death metal band. Formed in 1990, the Finnish band
released their debut album The Karelian Isthmus in 1992. Two years later, Tales
from the Thousand Lakes reveals the ambition of a band whose palette ranges from
folk metal to death metal, with many constructions leaning towards progressive
metal. Subsequent releases, Elegy (1996) and Tuonela (1999), reinforce these
initial good impressions, while Am Universum (2001) ventures into psychedelic
