Álvaro Díaz, born Jorge Álvaro Díaz Rodríguez on July 25, 1989, in Isabela, is a Puerto Rican rapper, singer, and songwriter. He began his career by uploading songs to SoundCloud in 2012, gaining considerable traction with his first track "Chica de la Isla." In 2015, Díaz released his debut album Hato Rey, named after the San Juan neighborhood where he grew up in. He continued to release music steadily, including the EP San Juan Grand Prix in 2016.
