Animal Liberation Orchestra, also known as ALO, is an American rock band formed
in 1989 in Saratoga, California, by childhood friends Zach Gill, Steve Adams,
and Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz. Initially called Django, the group recorded the debut
album Contact before moving to Santa Barbara for college. Following several
lineup and name changes, the band evolved into the Animal Liberation Orchestra &
The Free Range Horns by 1998 and released the album ALO vs. LAG. In 2006, the
