Allyn Ferguson
Allyn Ferguson, born October 18, 1924 in San José, California; died June 23,
2010 in Westlake Village, California, was an American composer, conductor, and
pianist whose career spanned jazz and television scoring. He entered the
television industry in 1955 by scoring the series Gunsmoke, and later composed
and arranged music for series and pilots such as The Monkees (1966), The Everly
Brothers Show (1970), The NBC Mystery Movie (1971), Starsky and Hutch (1975),
Charlie's Angels (1976), and The Love Boat (1977). He also scored feature films,
