Alkistis Protopsalti, born Alkistis-Sevasti Attikiouzeloglou on October 18, 1954
in Alexandria, Egypt to Greek parents, is a singer. In the early 1960s, she
moved with her family to Athens due to political events in Egypt. Her music
career began in the mid-1970s with the release of her first albums Τετραλογία
(1975), Κύκλος Σεφέρη (1976) and Εργατική Συμφωνία (1976). Subsequent albums
include Απλά Τραγούδια (1977), Μανιάτικα (1980), and Σαν Ηφαίστειο Που Ξυπνά
