Alexandre Pires, born in Uberlândia, Brazil, on January 8, 1976, is a celebrated
singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for his soulful voice and
romantic pagode style. He first gained fame in 1989 as the lead vocalist of Só
Pra Contrariar, a group that became a sensation in Brazil with hits like "Que Se
Chama Amor" and "Depois do Prazer," achieving millions of album sales. Alexandre
Pires launched his solo career in 2001 with É Por Amor, an album produced by
Emilio Estefan that solidified his success across Latin America with tracks such
as "Usted Se Me Llevó La Vid...
